Job Summary
Achieve significant process automation using Ansible, PowerShell, and bash to increase system efficiency. Design, implement, and maintain complex systems across x64/x86 servers, applications, and virtualized environments, including reverse proxies and web servers. Perform root cause diagnosis for incidents and execute full resolution steps for VIP infrastructure. Implement robust security measures adhering to SOC1&2 policies and assist with audits. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced Systems Engineers. Research new tools, leading deployment projects from beta testing to full rollout. This role reports to the office headquarters in Colchester, VT, with a hybrid schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in software or systems engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (relevant certifications and work experience may substitute for a degree)
- Solid scripting and automation experience
- Advanced understanding of Windows and Linux Servers, and networking knowledge (OSI layers, TCP/IP)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with virtualization/containerization
- Familiarity with DevOps principles
- Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies
- Strong adherence to change control and documentation standards
- Excellent analysis, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Methodical and detail-oriented approach
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
