Job Summary
Install new or rebuild existing servers, configure hardware and services, and develop installation procedures. Perform daily system monitoring, security checks, and backup operations to verify integrity and availability. Investigate and troubleshoot hardware or software failures, apply OS patches, and coordinate repairs with impacted clients. Create user accounts, perform file archival, and conduct periodic performance reporting for capacity planning. Participate in on-call rotation while maintaining data center environmental equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recover
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and supporting applications
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all clients and coworkers
- Past work experience in a high-traffic customer service setting
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Excellent customer service skills that exceed customers' expectations
- Strong problem solving and research skills
- Ability to acquire and maintain a working knowledge of a wide range of applications and services
- Continual awareness of changes that directly affect other team members and customers
- Must hold or have the ability to obtain A+, Network +, and Security + certifications within 1 year of employment
