Job Summary
Oversee and maintain the integrity and security of all IT systems and network infrastructure within manufacturing facilities. Administer critical manufacturing applications and databases, implement and troubleshoot hardware and software for production lines, and manage user permissions in accordance with security policies. Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel while monitoring system performance to prevent downtime. This role requires 3+ years of experience with Windows Server environments and virtualization technologies, typically within a West Michigan manufacturing context.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as a Systems Administrator, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience managing and troubleshooting virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) networks
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SCADA or MES systems
- Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments
- Experience with virtualization technologies in an industrial setting
