Job Summary
IT Systems Administrator supporting warehouse operations with 3–5+ years of hands-on IT experience in logistics environments. Responsible for administering and troubleshooting Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionality, configuration, and reporting; collaborating with warehouse and operations teams to resolve system issues affecting receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and order fulfillment; assisting with WMS user setup, permissions, configuration changes, testing, and documentation; supporting WMS integrations with EDI, reporting tools, scanners, printers, and other warehouse tech; maintaining server environments (Microsoft and Linux), network performance, backups, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery procedures; supporting Microsoft 365/Active Directory, LAN/WAN maintenance, and IT projects as needed. On-site role in Naperville, IL.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on IT experience in systems administration, WMS administration, network support, helpdesk escalation, or a similar technical role
- Previous IT experience in a logistics, warehousing, distribution, 3PL, transportation, or supply chain environment
- Hands-on experience supporting, administering, or managing a Warehouse Management System
- Experience troubleshooting WMS-related operational issues, including inventory, receiving, picking, shipping, RF/scanner, label printing, and user access issues
- Experience supporting Microsoft server technologies, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Windows workstations, and common business applications
- Basic to intermediate understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and wireless networks
- Ability to work on-site in the Naperville, IL area
- Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics workflows and how technology supports daily operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical warehouse, operations, and management users
- Ability to explain technical concepts in practical business and operational terms
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documentation, manuals, and procedures
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks and projects within expected timelines
- Ability to learn new software, hardware, and business systems quickly
- Self-motivated and able to use sound judgment with minimal supervision
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional, dependable, and service-oriented approach to supporting users and business operations
- Education and Certifications: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Logistics Technology, Supply Chain Systems, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in place of a degree
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft 365 certifications, or equivalent experience preferred
