IT Systems Administrator & Internal Software Engineer

Job Summary
Design and maintain the end-to-end IT infrastructure, security, and internal software for a multi-country operation. Manage full lifecycle device policies via Microsoft Intune, secure remote access through Azure VPN and RADIUS, and administer legacy Fortinet and UniFi networks. Monitor and respond to security incidents while authoring hardening policies. Provide L1 to L3 support across four countries and languages, acting as the sole escalation point. Independently design, build, and ship production internal applications like ticketing and asset-management platforms. Deploy AI-driven automations to increase efficiency for IT and business departments. Document, mentor, and train staff to extend operational reach while carrying the full workload. Requires 5+ years of simultaneous experience in systems, cloud, network, security, and development, with fluency in Romanian and English.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years operating simultaneously as a systems administrator, cloud engineer, network engineer, security practitioner, and software developer
- Proven solo, greenfield implementation in production of Intune, RADIUS, Azure VPN, and Microsoft Tunnel
- A portfolio of internal production applications you personally designed, coded, shipped, and still maintain
- Demonstrated ability to independently build AI-driven automation that serves departments outside of IT
- Fluency in translating non-technical business needs into deployed software without a product manager, a business analyst, or a spec
- Ability to support a multi-country, multilingual user base alone, balancing Romania, Portugal, Hungary, and Austria
- Comfort being a genuine department of one: setting strategy and crimping cables in the same afternoon, with no supervision and no ramp-up
- Romanian and English required
