Job Summary
Owns technology infrastructure and drives IT initiatives on site at Avaneer Dental Studio in Warren, MI. Lead IT projects from planning through post-implementation, enforce security standards (NIST/HIPAA), maintain backups and disaster recovery, and mentor IT staff. Manage diverse environments across servers, virtualization, networks, identity, and endpoints, while collaborating with vendors and driving improvements across nationwide sites.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in systems administration with broad infrastructure ownership
- 5+ years of virtualization experience (Proxmox preferred; VMware acceptable)
- Strong expertise in Linux (Debian/Ubuntu/RHEL) and Windows Server administration
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA, CCNA, Microsoft, or equivalent)
- Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, firewalls, TLS)
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Proven ability to design and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated leadership, influence, and conflict resolution skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT (or equivalent experience/certifications)
