Job Summary
IT Support Technician I provides onsite IT support for hospital and clinic personnel in a regional healthcare environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting Windows desktop and laptop systems, Microsoft Office applications, printers and peripherals, mobile devices, and basic network connectivity; installing, configuring, and deploying computer hardware and software; supporting workstation moves/adds/changes; assisting with user accounts and password resets; documenting incidents in the ticketing system and escalating complex issues to senior teams; supporting IT equipment inventory; maintaining professional, patient-care–aligned service; and traveling to satellite healthcare facilities as needed. Preferred qualifications include CompTIA A+ certification and prior healthcare IT or help desk experience, with familiarity in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and exposure to ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training, vocational education, military training, or entry-level IT experience.
- Working knowledge of: Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Microsoft Office applications
- Computer hardware and peripherals
- Basic networking concepts
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and troubleshooting processes.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between facilities.
Desired Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge.
- Prior help desk, desktop support, field technician, or customer service experience.
- Experience supporting healthcare environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Exposure to ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, or similar.
