Job Summary
IT Support Technician III provides expert-level technical support and manages IT infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include leading troubleshooting and resolution of critical hardware and software issues, mentoring junior IT support technicians, maintaining and updating IT inventory and asset management records, ensuring compliance with IT policies, training end-users on IT systems and applications, responding to helpdesk tickets, resolving moderate compute issues, conference room support, and maintaining asset records. Qualifications emphasize an Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience), 3+ years of relevant experience (or 5+ years without degree), AI-tool utilization for troubleshooting, robust hardware/software/network troubleshooting skills, strong leadership/communication, customer-focused problem solving, and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSE, CCNA, Security+; familiarity with Service Now; technical documentation skills; and willingness to travel. The role is office-based with potential travel between office locations; security clearance and U.S. citizenship are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience (or 5+ years if no degree)
- Experience in utilizing AI tools to enhance troubleshooting and ticket resolution processes
- Understanding of AI operations and ability to assist users with AI tools
- Advanced understanding of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Customer/solution ownership with drive for excellence
- Team oriented with knowledge-sharing
- Ability to travel to different office locations as required
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 lbs
- Active Secret US Security Clearance required
- U.S. Citizenship required for employment
