Job Summary
Provision, configure, and troubleshoot desktop PCs, thin clients, and peripherals across the TAP facility at Fort Riley. Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and security groups while assisting staff with CAC/PKI access. Install, patch, and maintain Microsoft Windows Enterprise OS builds including Army Gold Master and DoD Secure Host Baseline standards. Diagnose local network connectivity, IP addressing, and peripheral interfaces. Log and resolve service requests within the government ticketing system to meet SLA requirements. Ensure all workstations comply with DoD cybersecurity guidelines and Army NetOps standards. Maintain a day shift schedule Monday through Friday at the client facility.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Active CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570.01-M / 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification)
- Minimum 2–4 years of desktop support, workstation administration, or helpdesk experience
- Microsoft Windows 10/11 Enterprise OS administration
- Active Directory user/computer account management
- Hardware diagnostic skills (desktops, printers, multi-function devices, scanners)
- Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Excellent customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently on-site
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting IT operations on a U.S. Army installation (preferably Fort Riley) or DoD enterprise environment
- Familiarity with Army Gold Master (AGM) workstation builds and Army NetOps standards
