Job Summary
Provide technical support for employees, workstations, laptops, printers, phones, and other office technology. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues while supporting and maintaining VMware virtual environments. Assist with server administration, backups, updates, monitoring, and configuring switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Set up, image, repair, and maintain desktops and laptops; manage user accounts, permissions, email, and access controls. Document issues, resolutions, procedures, and system changes. Assist with cybersecurity best practices, antivirus tools, patching, and endpoint protection. Work with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to resolve technical problems. Help plan and complete IT upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements. Respond to urgent IT issues and provide timely, professional support. Occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency support may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in an IT support, systems administration, network support, or similar role
- Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other hardware
- Familiarity with Windows workstations and Windows Server environments
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account management
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow through on issues
- Comfortable handling a broad range of IT responsibilities
- Must be willing and able to travel as needed to support IT systems, users, and equipment at multiple locations
- Bachelor's degree preferred, minimum of an Associates Degree with at least 5-10 years of experience
