Job Summary
Serve as the first point of contact for end users, delivering friendly, in-person support to both office and field staff. Manage and resolve tickets in our internal system, escalating to the MSP when appropriate, while setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting end-user hardware including laptops, desktops, and peripherals. Administer user accounts in Windows Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and provide day-to-day support for the Microsoft 365 suite alongside proprietary oil & gas software. Proactively identify recurring issues during slower periods to bring solutions rather than just problems, and assist with internal data reporting projects using Power BI, SQL, and Spotfire. This full-time contract role requires 100% on-site attendance in Uptown Dallas, Monday through Friday, with occasional equipment lifting.
Required Qualifications
- Solid, demonstrable hands-on experience supporting Windows environments and end-user hardware
- Working knowledge of Active Directory (user/group management, password resets, basic troubleshooting)
- Practical experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365
- Comfortable working independently on Level 2 issues
- Genuinely friendly, outgoing, and approachable
- Patient and calm
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- 100% on-site in Uptown Dallas
- Reliable in-person attendance
- Occasional lifting and moving of IT equipment (workstations, monitors, peripherals)
- Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment screening
Desired Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ certification
- Exposure to data analytics and business intelligence tools — particularly Power BI, SQL, and Spotfire
- Prior experience supporting field/remote users in addition to an office environment
- A background in data analytics
