Job Summary
Triage complicated tickets and assign them to Senior team members. Identify, investigate, and resolve user problems with computer software and hardware through field support calls, chats, and emails. Consult with users to determine steps for resolution and guide them through diagnostic processes using available tools. Collaborate with team members to research issues, arrange vendor services for repairs, and maintain hardware inventory. Ensure computers are built for new hires, provide Quality Control on setups, and test OS patches. Create and update documentation as needed while maintaining knowledge of technology trends.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant work experience
- Approximately 1 year of experience in a help desk, technical support, IT support, or similar customer-facing technology role
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Technologically savvy
- Ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software issues
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new hardware, software, and IT systems
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and IT best practices
- Scorpion participates in the E-Verify program to confirm employment authorization of all newly hired employees
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Google IT Support Professional Certificate, or Microsoft Certified credentials are a plus
- Experience supporting Windows and/or macOS environments is a plus
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and macOS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Familiarity with mobile operating systems, including iOS and Android
- Basic knowledge of audio/visual and conference room technology
