Job Summary
Provide responsive technical support through in-person, telephone, email, and electronic ticketing channels to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues. Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and video teleconferencing equipment while applying routine software updates and security patches. Assist with configuring network systems, including hubs, routers, and switches, and troubleshoot connectivity and performance problems. Manage equipment inventory, coordinate with property management for Government-furnished assets, and handle proper disposal of electronic media. Protect confidential Department of Justice information by adhering to privacy, cybersecurity, and records-management requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of professional experience providing general IT support
- Experience demonstrating qualifications and work history relevant to the IT duties described for this position
- Experience and expertise performing the required information technology support services
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams, and SharePoint
- Proficiency using Adobe applications
- High-level working knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Strong attention to detail and customer-service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability
- Ability to comply with rigorous agency policies, procedures, and operational protocols
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain favorable adjudication for the required background investigation
- Must receive Government authorization before beginning work
- Must be able to lift objects of up to 10 lbs
- Must be able to use computer monitor screens up to 100% of the time
