Job Summary
Monitor, install, and maintain computers, networks, and software while troubleshooting and repairing new or existing PCs. Provide maintenance and administration for desktop and laptop computers, then respond to escalated helpdesk tickets requiring complex problem-solving. Manage IT inventory and perform other duties as assigned. This role reports to the IT Support Manager within a 100% employee-owned organization serving industrial control and instrumentation industries.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years' IT support or helpdesk experience
- Associate's degree in computer technology or related field, certification, or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 products
- Active Directory
- Windows based PCs and laptops
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
- Ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to handle a large volume of phone calls
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to present information in a manner that can be understood by non-technical staff
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends or off hours
- Willing to travel if necessary
- Ability to lift/move/carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs
- Ability to climb stairs and step ladders, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years' providing windows pc support
- Bachelor's degree in the field of computer technology or related certification
- Proficiency VMware deployment and administration
- RedHat Linux
- Cisco networking hardware
