Job Summary
IT Support Specialist II (Elk Ridge) provides advanced desktop and Windows application support across multiple regional locations, diagnosing complex hardware/software issues, performing imaging/deployments, supporting Microsoft 365 apps, contributing to network/server security efforts, and mentoring Level I staff. The role collaborates with network, server, and security teams, maintains documentation, and ensures compliance with data protection standards. Requires on-site presence with regional travel flexibility, an Associate degree in IT or related field (or equivalent), multiple years of hands-on IT support experience, Active Directory/Windows Server experience, a fingerprint clearance card, and relevant certifications; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field (Required/Preferred)
- 3 years working experience as IT Desktop I (or equivalent) (Required)
- 3 years experience providing hands-on hardware and software support/maintenance on varied systems including anti-virus, malware, and encryption (Required)
- 3 years experience supporting Microsoft Applications (including MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) (Required)
- 2 years experience supporting Active Directory and Windows Server operating systems (Required)
- 1 year experience supporting mobile devices (Required)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices related to system hardening (Required)
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish (preferred) (Required/Preferred)
- Fingerprint clearance card (Required)
- Current Windows Desktop OS certification or equivalent (Preferred)
- CompTIA A+/Net+/Sec+ (Preferred)
- I.T.I.L practices understanding (Preferred)
- Knowledge of MS Office 365 products (Preferred)
