Job Summary
IT Systems Specialist provides advanced technical support across MOVA locations, focusing on the Freeport office and remote sites. Responsibilities include escalation support for hardware, software, network, and application issues; supporting business applications and ERP systems; managing Windows and Linux systems; virtualization with Proxmox and VMware; integrating Linux with Active Directory; network infrastructure tasks (VLANs, VPN, routing, firewall); containerized environments (Docker/LXC); database support (SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL); system monitoring, logging, and basic security analysis; data extraction and operational reporting; and maintaining documentation. Requires strong troubleshooting, customer service, and the ability to work independently, with focus on reliability and process improvement. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree or IT-related coursework preferred
- 2+ years IT support or systems administration experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and Linux environments
- Familiarity with IT service desk tools and ticketing systems
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and enterprise application support
- Experience with ERP systems or reporting tools is a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
