Job Summary
The IT Support Officer will provide first- and second-line technical support to users, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems, hardware, software, and network infrastructure. Responsibilities include resolving hardware, software, network, and application issues; installing and configuring desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices; setting up user accounts, email access, and system permissions; monitoring LAN and basic server operations; performing backups and applying security patches; assisting with IT security policy implementation and data protection; maintaining IT asset inventory and documenting procedures; coordinating with vendors for repairs and IT projects; and delivering basic user training.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are an advantage.
- Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
- Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic networking.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Good time management and ability to handle multiple tasks.
