Job Summary
IT Support Manager at Shelburne Farms will serve as the primary on-site IT contact for staff, volunteers, and campus operations, reporting to the COO and collaborating with the external MSP. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices; setting up and supporting AV equipment for meetings, trainings, and events across the campus; onboarding new employees and volunteers with account creation and device setup; managing IT operating system support and coordinating with external consultants as needed; supporting Windows, macOS, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365; maintaining asset/configuration/service history records; network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, VPN, printer access) across multiple buildings; and documenting processes, trouble-shooting guides, and end-user procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a help desk, desktop support, or IT support role
- Proficiency with Windows and/or macOS environments and Google Workplace and Microsoft Office and 365
- Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and basic networking concepts
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Comfort working with a variety of user types, including those with limited technical backgrounds
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work calmly under pressure
- A valid driver\'s license and ability to move between campus buildings as needed
- Experience supporting a multi-faceted organization
- Work Location and Travel Requirements: The role primarily works on-site five days a week. The work schedule includes event support and on-call availability. Occasional remote work to support flexibility is permitted
