IT Support Generalist (Part Time)

Job Summary
Provide timely technical support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues while maintaining minimal disruption. Manage service requests and incident processing, creating and maintaining detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and IT assets. Support AV and conference room technology setup and troubleshooting, install and repair computer hardware and software, and assist with basic networking tasks like port patching. Order and install computer peripherals, schedule upgrades and maintenance, and transport IT equipment between buildings. Assist with facilities tasks and ensure users align with company policies. This on-site role in San Mateo requires lifting up to 50 lbs and working 20-25 hours weekly at $25-$35 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use asset management software and tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of Windows and/or MacOS operating systems
- Must be able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and set up desks, ensuring all equipment is properly installed and operational for new hires

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in IT technical support and administration for Windows and MacOS is helpful
- Familiarity with Linux is a plus
