Job Summary
IT Support Engineer – Desktop & Infrastructure role supporting the local business unit and global infrastructure team. Responsibilities include escalation support to helpdesk, on-site collaboration with support staff, monitoring system for servers/applications, alerting for outages, deploying and troubleshooting physical and virtual servers, creating and updating system diagrams and procedures, interfacing with customers on support requests, and learning across IT groups. Travel to regional offices may be required. Key technical focus areas include Windows Server administration, VMware vCenter/ESXi, UCS/Cisco hardware, storage (HPE Nimble/Pure), Cohesity backups, Dynamics 365, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, vSphere networking, Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, and incident management tooling (ManageEngine ServiceDesk). Strong communication, problem solving, and team collaboration skills are essential, with a commitment to operational excellence and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science, MIS, Math, Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent experience (per Education section)
- Minimum 3 years related experience in modern data center technologies
- Experience with Windows Server 2016/2022/2025 administration
- Experience with VMware vCenter administration and ESXi deployment
- Knowledge of UCS Blade Servers, storage with HPE Nimble/Pure
- Cohesity Backup Support
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop
- VMware vSphere networking
- Active Directory administration
- DNS administration
- GPO administration
- ManageEngine ServiceDesk experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a group
- On-site presence required
- Travel to offices in-region for project work possible
- High emphasis on change management and documentation
