Job Summary
Support users locally in the NYC office and remotely by troubleshooting end-user devices, enterprise applications, and office technology. Educate staff on IT compliance policies while maintaining Zoom Rooms, AV hardware, and local network infrastructure. Monitor for security threats, manage enterprise systems including servers and desktops, and handle machine and account provisioning. This role requires macOS and Windows administration, ticketing system management, and experience with endpoint and email security tools. Candidates must improvise solutions across diverse technologies including printers and network devices. While the position is listed as office-based in NYC, Affirm is a remote-first company where proximal roles occasionally require on-site presence.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with macOS administration and support
- Ability to improvise and find immediate solutions
- Experience managing formal ticketing systems
- Experience administering SaaS technologies
- Flexibility to work with all types of technology
- Experience with machine and account provisioning and deprovisioning
- Experience with Endpoint security—disk encryption, OS firewalls, laptop/mobile lockdown
- Experience with Email security—tools for signed/encrypted email communication
- Experience with Mobile device management technologies
- Confidence to maintain office IT infrastructure on their own, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience administering Google for Business
- Self motivated to learn and advance their career within IT
- Experience with AV systems
- Ability to explain difficult technical concepts without being condescending
- Apple Certified Associate or ACSP certification
- Automation and scripting experience
- Goes above and beyond the traditional IT role to assist the office, and greater company to run at maximum efficiency
