Job Summary
Administer, maintain, and support computer systems, servers, network infrastructure, wireless networks, and technology equipment for the Education & Training Section. Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain hardware, software, operating systems, and peripheral devices while providing technical support to users and resolving system issues. Maintain system documentation, backup and recovery procedures, inventories, and activity reports. Monitor system performance, data integrity, and information security. Respond to emergency system outages as required. Research and recommend technology solutions and train personnel on software applications and security procedures. Maintain accountability for assigned technology assets. Work part-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM (25 hours per week) on-site at Travis Air Force Base, California.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of current experience within the past five (5) years supporting information technology systems
- Current CompTIA A+ certification
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification
- Knowledge of computer and network security principles
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows-based systems, hardware, software, and networks
- Work Classification: Part-Time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-12:30 PM (25 hours per week)
- Place of Performance: On-site, Travis Air Force Base, California
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AFAEMS, Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) systems, and My Learning CDC Assessment System
