Job Summary
Provide information security support for DoD operational commands or expeditionary forces, including performing Authority to Operate procedures to ensure security policies and measures are correctly applied. Obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty, and secure Security Control Assessor level advanced credentials within 12 months of appointment. This role requires at least one year of specialized experience at the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band, demonstrating attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be US citizens, suitable for federal employment, and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft to CONUS and OCONUS sites, including remote or isolated locations.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- determined suitable for federal employment
- participate in the direct deposit pay program
- obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
- obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Security Control Assessor level advanced within 12 months of appointment
- successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana)
- be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
- at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
- Providing information security support, to include performing Authority to Operate procedures, for a DoD operational command or expeditionary force, to ensure security policies, procedures, or measures are correctly applied
