Job Summary
Coordinate with the managed service provider to handle support requests, system changes, and escalations while providing timely troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and mobile device issues. Manage the full lifecycle of company-owned cell phones, including ordering, setup, upgrades, inventory tracking, and carrier coordination. Provision user access to systems and platforms, oversee technology onboarding and offboarding, and maintain accurate IT asset inventory. Deliver user training, technical documentation, and self-service resources to educate employees on IT systems and best practices. Manage organizational printers, coordinate hardware replacements and disposal, and assist with permission reviews and access audits. Work flexible hours including nights and weekends, travel throughout the council, and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Two to three years of experience in IT field
- Experience providing hands-on technical support in a professional environment
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Highly proficient in Microsoft365, including SharePoint, OneDrive and virtual meeting platforms
- Experience with mobile device management and basic hardware maintenance
- Comfort working with data systems, reports, and basic analytics
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues in real time
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and data security
- Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages in a professional manner
- Can adapt well to changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
- Able to work a flexible schedule, to include nights and weekends, as needed
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license; access to reliable transportation required
- Can travel throughout the council, as needed
- Can lift/carry 40 pounds
- Can sit, stand or walk for a moderate period of time, as required
