Job Summary
The IT Specialist delivers Tier I and selected Tier II tech solutions for MDT employees and credit-union clients across endpoints, identity, SaaS applications, network services, and peripherals. Focus on first-call resolutions to reduce escalations, creates runbooks/knowledge articles, and provides employee technical support and asset management. Administers endpoints and peripherals, manages Active Directory objects, evaluates and deploys hardware/software, monitors health systems, tracks inventory, supports security services (MFA, VPN, email filtering), troubleshoots LAN/WAN infrastructure at Tier I/II, provides on-site support, documents fixes, maintains vendor relationships, and represents the company professionally in client and trade interactions. Requires ability to travel up to 20% for in-state/out-of-state work, with hybrid on-site requirements (5 days per month on-site). Thorough documentation, compliance with security standards, and participation in meetings and required activities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Associates degree in IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in related positions.
- Hands-on experience in IT technical support or systems administration.
