Job Summary
IT Specialist 3/Network Technician 5 - C role focusing on design, implementation, and maintenance of wired and wireless LANs for DoD-related contract work. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, performing site surveys, operating and maintaining IT/network infrastructure, installing and configuring servers/devices, testing network performance and security, troubleshooting network issues, managing IP space, and producing technical documentation. Requires DoD Secret/Public Trust eligibility, DoD 8570 IAT Level I/II compliance, US citizenship, 8+ years of networking experience, and preferred CCNA/CWNP or Aruba experience. Position based in the greater southwest Texas region with 24/7 shift and weekend requirements; contingent on contract award.
Required Qualifications
- DoD Secret or Public Trust clearance required
- DoD 8570 IAT Level I or II compliant
- 8+ years of experience in general networking and network administration
- High School plus specialized training
- CCNA or CWNP certifications a plus
- Experience with Aruba networking equipment a plus
- US citizenship required
- Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance
- Shift and weekend work required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio
- Ability to climb a 10ft ladder and lift 40lbs
