Job Summary
Senior IT/network engineering role focused on designing, deploying, and maintaining wired/wireless LANs and overall IT/network infrastructure for a DoD-pertinent environment. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, site surveys, installation and configuration of computer systems and networks, network security and performance testing, end-user support, network management and orchestration across production/lab/test environments, IP space management, regular status reporting, and documentation. Strong emphasis on creating base configurations, collaboration with technical teams, and producing architectural/design documentation. DoD clearance eligibility and IAT Level I/II compliance are required; DoD-related certifications (CCNA, CWNP) are a plus. Position supports 24/7 operations with shift and weekend work; US citizenship required; E-Verify and SSA/DHS work authorization processes apply.
Required Qualifications
- High School plus specialized training, and 8+ yrs of experience; or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or experience.
- Candidate must be DoD 8570 IAT Level I or Level II compliant.
- Experience in general networking and network administration, upgrade and operations.
- Knowledge of telecommunications room (TR), CAT 6, crimps, and wiring standards. BICSI certification is a plus.
- Experience with Aruba networking equipment is a plus.
- Able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance or Public Trust clearance.
