Job Summary
Telos Corporation seeks an IT Specialist 2/Network Technician 4 in the Greater Frederick area or Western Maryland. Responsibilities include gathering requirements for wired/wireless LAN design, performing site surveys, maintaining IT networks and servers, installing and configuring systems, testing network performance and security, diagnosing and resolving network issues, managing IP space, coordinating with the customer on network health, developing base configurations, and maintaining technical documentation; experience with Aruba equipment is a plus. The role supports 24/7 operations, requires DoD Secret/Public Trust clearance eligibility, DoD 8570 IAT Level I/II compliance, and may require CCNA/CWNP certifications, with US citizenship and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. The position requires physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 40 lbs, and is based in US locations Ashburn, VA and Frederick, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to gain a DoD Secret Clearance or Public Trust clearance is required
- DoD 8570 IAT Level I or Level II compliant; additional network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CWNP) are a plus
- Experience in general networking and network administration, upgrade and operations
- Strong technical writing skills with experience producing reports (MS Office; Visio)
- Understanding of telecommunication room (TR), CAT 6, crimps, wiring standards; BICSI certification a plus
- Licensed and able to drive a vehicle
- Ability to climb a 10ft ladder and lift at least 40lbs
- US citizenship (access to sensitive information)
