IT Software Asset Lead

Job Summary
Lead role responsible for developing and maintaining FLSmidth's Software Asset Management program, including policies, license reconciliations, audits, lifecycle management of software assets, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization. Collaborates with IT procurement, legal, and finance; provides guidance on licensing models; maintains SAM tooling and inventory; generates reports on compliance, utilization, and cost savings; stays current with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) in a global enterprise environment
- Proven experience with SAM tools (e.g., Flexera, Snow Software, ServiceNow ITAM)
- Strong understanding of various software licensing models (e.g., perpetual, subscription, user-based, core-based)
- In-depth knowledge of major software vendors' licensing policies (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe)
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSAM, CITAM) are highly desirable
- Experience with ITIL framework and practices
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
