IT Site Administrator

Job Summary
Serve as the primary on-site technical resource for the facility, providing hands-on support to end users and maintaining local technology infrastructure. Install, configure, and troubleshoot endpoints, servers, network equipment, and shop-floor technology while ensuring system uptime and compliance with security standards. Act as the face of IT for the location, coordinating with central teams on deployments, upgrades, and major projects like ERP migrations and infrastructure modernization. Maintain hardware inventory, document site-specific procedures, and perform routine health checks on environmental monitoring and backup systems. Provide after-hours and weekend support as required to resolve critical issues and ensure smooth operations across the manufacturing and distribution environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two- or four-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in technical support, systems administration, or IT field services
- Proficiency with Windows workstations, endpoint management, device imaging, and patching
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VLANs, VPN)
- Experience administering Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and common enterprise applications
- Hands-on experience maintaining servers, backup devices, UPS systems, and VoIP phones
- Ability to diagnose hardware issues, replace components, and perform physical setup of equipment
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Comfortable balancing day-to-day support with participation in longer-term projects
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable climbing ladders, crawling under desks, or accessing tight spaces as needed
- Dexterity to use tools, operate computers, and configure hardware safely
- Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated environments
- Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environments is a strong plus
