Job Summary
The IT Service Engineer II resolves complex issues with end-to-end ownership in a metric-driven MSP environment, serving as a technical lead across devices, identity, Microsoft 365, networking, and core business systems. Responsibilities include managing end-to-end tickets, coordinating with vendors, applying structured troubleshooting, leveraging PowerShell and automation, supporting security posture and incident workflows, contributing to KB/runbooks, mentoring junior staff, and balancing client advocacy with scalable, secure Executech standards. Typical work includes multi-step M365 administration, endpoint/device management (Intune, BitLocker, Autopilot), identity and access management troubleshooting (Conditional Access, MFA), backup/DR and security tooling triage, PSA/RMM improvements, and KPI-driven performance. Requirements emphasize 2-5 years IT support experience, strong MSP-focused Microsoft 365 knowledge, automation willingness, and Microsoft certification alignment (MD-102/MS-102, AZ-104 recommended).
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years IT support experience with increasing complexity (MSP experience strongly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, identity, device management, and common MSP toolsets
- Able to prioritize effectively under SLA pressure while maintaining quality and client communication
- Comfortable performing intermediate troubleshooting across multiple systems and documenting evidence
- Working knowledge of PowerShell fundamentals and willingness to build safe automation (reviewed/approved)
- Certification Expectations: Hold (or actively pursue) one Microsoft role-based certification aligned to daily responsibilities (e.g., MD-102 or MS-102); AZ-104 recommended for Azure/M365 administration and Senior promotion readiness
