IT Service Automation Officer

Job Summary
IT Service Automation Officer to join JT on a permanent contract, based in Jersey (St Helier) with hybrid working. Responsibilities include acting as the initial contact for IT service and automation support, documenting operations in a central repository, adhering to ITIL processes (Incidents, Requests, Problems, and automation changes), building and improving automations to reduce manual tasks, and delivering clear end-user support while applying Agentic AI safely within governance controls. Requires ITIL v4 Foundation (willing to obtain within 12 months) and experience automating service workflows in an enterprise environment; strong Windows/Microsoft ecosystem knowledge; experience with user provisioning and device management; excellent communication and collaboration skills; driving licence preferable. Required Qualifications
- ITIL v4 Foundation (must be willing to obtain in first 12 months of the role)
- Experience of building, maintaining or supporting service automations, workflows or scripted operational processes in an enterprise environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems, enterprise applications and desktop applications
- Experience of user administration, device provisioning and operational support processes
- Awareness of Agentic AI, AI-assisted service operations or intelligent automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to communicate well at all levels of technical ability
- Ability to work as a team player
- Analytical and methodical
- Good organisation, prioritisation, and co-ordination skills
- Knowledge of relevant internal systems, processes and procedures
- A full driving licence is preferable
