Job Summary

Build, configure, and maintain security solutions across endpoint, network, application, and cloud environments while troubleshooting and resolving complex security issues. Monitor evolving threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques to translate them into actionable defenses, and partner with IT and business teams to embed security into all operations. Communicate security risks, controls, and processes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the team. This role supports the organization's security posture within a global specialty insurance group, leveraging a culture rooted in innovation and the Mind Over Risk philosophy.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive cybersecurity engineering experience
  • Strong experience with IT security platforms, automation (scripting/APIs), and configuration management
  • Broad knowledge of IT systems (servers, networks, cloud, applications)
  • Experience with authentication, access management, logging, and SIEM/event correlation tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • Awareness of the evolving cybersecurity landscape
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative and effective partner to IT and business teams
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
  • Able to translate security risks into practical controls and actions
  • Comfortable mentoring others and sharing best practices
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, MIS, IT, or related field
  • Security+, CISSP, GIAC, or advanced SANS certifications
