IT Security Analyst

Job Summary
IT Security Analyst is an entry-level, full-time role in the Information Technology department, based in Fort Worth or Dallas with a hybrid schedule. You will assist in monitoring and reporting on anti-virus, anti-exploit, and XDR software across IT equipment, servers, and endpoints; help investigate events and incidents; support data collection and analysis of security tools and operations; monitor the SIEM platform to identify and respond to security incidents; execute regular data security activities and reporting; collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure operational security; assist in evaluating security and asset protection procedures; provide Helpdesk/server support when needed; and perform other relevant duties. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field (or 3+ years of relevant experience if no degree), plus 1+ year in information security/cybersecurity and 1+ year in IT, with familiarity in network, data, and security technologies. Specialized licenses or certifications are a plus and strong interpersonal/team skills are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field; or 3+ additional years in information security specific positions and responsibility if no degree
- Specialized information security licenses or certifications are big plus
- 1+ years of experience in information security or cybersecurity
- 1+ years in other information technology related work
- Working knowledge of network, data and security technologies
- Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Dell, ESA appliances
- Experience securing cloud-based infrastructure and applications
