Job Summary
IT Security Administrator overseeing monitoring of security events and alerts, triage and validation of incidents, threat intelligence correlation, real-time incident response, and enforcement of security policies across SIEM, EDR/endpoint protection, MS Defender and M365 security tooling. Responsibilities include maintaining vulnerability remediation, device compliance, software updates, audits support, vendor/contracts management, ERP-security involvement, and providing security guidance to business units. Requires hands-on security operations experience, incident response, threat detection improvement, and strong documentation/communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information security or related field required.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, and/or Cloud) and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance tools
- Experience with endpoint and device management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, MDM/MAM platforms)
- Strong understanding of device compliance, patch management, and software update processes
- Knowledge of security policy implementation and enforcement
- Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection
- Proficiency with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- 1+ years of cybersecurity required; 3-5 years of experience preferred
