Job Summary
Release Manager accountable for the lifecycle of hardware and software modifications and new deployments, aligning with release management processes across multiple application suites; builds and maintains release roadmaps, coordinates with cross-functional teams, conducts readiness and go/no-go reviews, communicates changes to asset owners, and tracks post-installation support and continuous service improvement. Requires strong ITIL knowledge, lifecycle discipline, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive releases in a matrixed environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3–5 years of release management experience or enterprise-wide project/delivery management experience
- 10 years of experience in application and hardware implementation
- Detailed understanding of ITIL Release, Change, and Configuration Management
- Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven leadership and collaboration across matrixed teams
- Experience with ServiceNow and analytics tools
- Exposure to automated testing tools and agile delivery tools
- Ability to develop release plans, roadmaps, and governance artifacts
- Experience coordinating with operations, business analysts, QA, development, infrastructure, and supplier resources
- Ability to present release metrics and status to stakeholders
