Job Summary
Senior IT Project Analyst / AVP role supporting Regulatory & Governance activities for Citi Technology entities. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance support, development and execution of legal-entity regulatory requirements, governance-committee operations (coordination of meetings, agendas, action follow-up), data/document management, risk and control identification, MCA program oversight and reporting, regulatory activities planning and execution, process improvement via data analytics, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration. Must contribute to high-quality reports for internal stakeholders and regulators, maintain awareness of regulatory developments, perform data analysis and reporting, and support escalation of compliance issues. Requires 5-8 years of regulatory compliance/governance/risk management experience, ability to read laws and regulations and explain requirements, strong project management and communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and comfort with a fast-paced environment. Cantonese language skills would be helpful but not essential.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, governance, risk management, or a related field within the financial services industry
- Understanding of regulation governance and management needed for a robust regulation program in support of business objectives
- Ability to read laws, rules, and regulations, and explain their requirements in everyday language
- Proven ability to execute multiple projects on tight deadlines with attention to detail
- Proactive problem solver who is resourceful, readily consults with others, and considers alternatives
- Ability to confidently work across business lines, collaborate and interact with colleagues at all levels with a commitment to partnership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating information to various audiences
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as a member of a high-performing team, with the ability to take initiative in proposing and implementing solutions
- Prioritize effectively, and contribute positively to a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Proficient in utilizing standard office software and an aptitude for learning new systems and tools
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
