IT Project Manager

Job Summary
Manage project scope, strategy, and implementation while ensuring delivery within budget and schedule. Identify, analyze, mitigate, and control project risks, then escalate issues impacting delivery to management. Establish roles, expectations, and goals with team members, assist in hiring staff, and manage personnel evaluations. Liaise between the project team, sponsor, and client to communicate status and changes, negotiating contract terms for consultants and vendors. Set and track milestones, managing unforeseen delays and realigning schedules as needed. Works with clients to define requirements and participates in SDLC methodologies. Hybrid schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to think strategically, assess alternatives for short-and long-term impacts and act decisively
- Experience working with project planning and tracking tools
- Ability to effectively apply project management methodologies and ensure that the necessary technical skills are included with the project team and utilized appropriately
- Some knowledge of technology platforms and environments
- Good understanding of annuity products, administration compliance, operations and systems including business desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Office), and relevant financial products
- Experience using a defined project management and/or SDLC methodology
- Understanding of Managed Service Provider ticketing and Alert Management Systems
