IT Project Manager

Job Summary
Plan and direct multiple IT projects by facilitating requirements, defining scope, developing timelines, and managing budgets. Coordinate activities across internal and external resources, including outsourced third parties, to ensure on-time delivery. Monitor project status using Johnstone's methodology and tools like Jira and Monday.com, while escalating risks and issues to stakeholders. Provide regular reporting to Project Sponsors and the E-PMO, and lead retrospective activities for continuous improvement. Assist in process improvements through the Lean Program and ensure departmental processes are documented and adhered to. Requires seven+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree, and specific software discovery or selection project management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- Seven or more years of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of IT project management methodologies and lifecycles
- Previous experience managing software development or software implementation
- Previous experience managing at least one software discovery or software selection project
- Ability to apply project management skills: establishing objectives, timelines, and deadlines; action planning to meet deadlines; evaluating project status compared to objectives
- Ability to apply problem-solving skills: listening to, interpreting, and meeting the needs of others; diagnosing and rectifying problems
- Ability to apply organization skills: developing and using systems for organizing and keeping track of information and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and built relationships, and ability to effectively interact with third party partners and customers
- Ability to communicate information across different individuals, departments, and external parties, including presenting to Leadership
Desired Qualifications
- A current or active certification in either Agile or PMI (PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP)
