Job Summary
Lead cross-functional delivery of technology initiatives from initiation through implementation, managing the full project lifecycle while driving collaboration across technical and product teams. Define scope, goals, milestones, and resource requirements to develop detailed execution plans, breaking down complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives into structured tasks. Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, and lifecycle activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. Identify cross-team dependencies and risks, developing mitigation plans and escalating critical issues appropriately. Provide clear visibility into project status and progress through transparent reporting for leadership and stakeholders, maintaining alignment across teams. This role supports Southern Company Services in delivering high-impact technology solutions using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 3–5 years of IT project management experience
- Experience leading Agile or hybrid technology projects
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, track, and deliver results
- Experience facilitating sprint planning and stand-up meetings
Desired Qualifications
- PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certification
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary technology initiatives
- Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, etc.)
