IT Project Coordinator

Job Summary
Plan and execute IT projects including software development, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations. Schedule and facilitate project meetings, capture minutes, and distribute action items. Create and maintain documentation such as charters, schedules, and status reports. Monitor progress using Azure DevOps, MS Project/Planner, or Jira, and act as a liaison between IT teams and business stakeholders. Identify risks, support basic QA efforts, and escalate bottlenecks to senior leadership. This role supports the IT Project Manager and cross-functional teams in delivering technology solutions on time and within scope.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 1+ years of experience in an IT, project coordination, or administrative role
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Comfortable discussing technical concepts with software developers, system administrators, and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with Office 365 and Microsoft Office software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- A proactive problem-solving mindset
- An ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using project management software (e.g., Azure DevOps, MS Project/Planner, Jira, Smartsheet)
- Entry-level certifications such as Certified associate in project management (CAPM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or ITIL Foundations
- Familiarity with data analysis or basic reporting tools (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets pivot tables)
