Job Summary
Act as a liaison between IT professionals and business users to elicit, document, and analyze business and technical requirements. Lead problem-solving efforts across cross-functional teams while working with project managers to plan strategy, assess risk, create schedules, and allocate resources. Manage key action items, coordinate meetings, and facilitate the collection of viable information to assist in delivering solutions throughout the project lifecycle. This 40-hour weekly summer internship involves shadowing, mentoring, and group projects within Union Home Mortgage's L.E.A.D program, offering students a chance to learn from senior leadership and develop skills in project management and technology.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a 2-year or 4-year college degree in Computer Information Systems, Project Management, Management Information Systems or another related field
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior Standing
- Detail oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Understands general business functions/workflows and is able to quickly adapt to new areas of the business
- Self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines
- Candidate must be enthusiastic, a self-starter and have the ability to work in a group or independently
- Strong analytical skills
- Passion or interest for organization, technology, and working through ambiguous concepts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with project management tools a plus (Jira, Workday, Monday.com, etc.)
- Advanced Excel Skills (Vlookups, Pivot tables)
