IT Program & Portfolio Manager (Growth, Expansion & Strategic Initiatives)

Job Summary
Lead complex, cross-functional programs supporting healthcare growth, facility expansions, mergers and acquisitions, and enterprise transformation initiatives. Partner with executive leadership, operational stakeholders, clinical teams, and vendors to align technology solutions with business objectives while owning full program budgets. Drive portfolio planning, prioritization, governance, risk management, and executive reporting across multiple concurrent initiatives. Coordinate technology integration for acquisitions, new facilities, and major operational changes, overseeing delivery from concept through implementation. Facilitate strategic planning to ensure successful adoption of new capabilities and support major Epic and digital transformation efforts. Manage large-scale programs across the full lifecycle, including business transformations and mentoring project managers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in IT / Computer, Science / Computer Studies or an equivalent degree
- Must have 8 years of Information Technology Project Leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a PMO like role OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Must be able to manage large scale programs and projects across the full project lifecycle
- Previous experience with business transformations and transitions
- Proven experience mentoring Project Managers
- Experience working in a large healthcare organization and ability to work across diverse organizations and build effective relationships
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred certification in Prince, MSP, or PMP
- Program level IT Healthcare leadership for a diverse portfolio of strategic programs, including healthcare facility expansions, mergers and acquisitions, new service offerings, enterprise technology implementations, and other high-impact organizational initiatives
- Budget ownership of large scale programs and projects
- Local candidate is highly preferred for accessiblity to as needed in person stakeholder meetings
