Job Summary
Draft and finalize solicitation documents, evaluate vendor bids for strengths and weaknesses, and support negotiations for ultimate vendor selection. Ensure order fulfillment with vendors while assessing responses and negotiating pricing and delivery schedules. Demonstrate expertise in application development, network management, and information security alongside fluency in technical and nontechnical IT services. Maintain proficiency in MS Office Suite and SharePoint while applying negotiation and pricing techniques to find manufacturers for technology products or services. Work closely with a client team to resolve conflicts and meet government regulations and software licensing practices. This 1-year contract role in Austin, TX, requires 8 years of experience in IT procurement, with a preference for Texas government agency exposure.
Required Qualifications
- 8 Years - Demonstrate expertise and experience in all aspects of IT procurement - including but not limited to drafting and finalizing solicitation documents, evaluating vendor bids and strengths/weaknesses, and supporting negotiations for ultimate vendor selection
- 8 Years - Demonstrate fluency and experience across technical and nontechnical IT services such as application development and management, network and telecommunications management, and information security, among other topics.
- 8 Years - Possess a current knowledge of business trends, government regulations, software licensing practices, as well as negotiation and pricing techniques, to effectively find manufacturers for a technology product or service.
- 8 Years - Ensure order fulfillment with vendors, assess bids/responses and negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.
- 8 Years - High proficiency in utilizing office productivity tools such as MS Office Suite and Share Point.
- 8 Years - Expert skills in oral and written communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- 8 Years - Ability to work closely and effectively with a client team.
Desired Qualifications
- 8 Years - Experience with one or more of the state of Texas government agencies.
