Job Summary
Develop and implement the IT PMO strategy aligned with organizational goals, providing leadership to a team of project managers, analysts, and coordinators. Establish consistent project governance and methodologies, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure while monitoring portfolio performance and risks. Lead resource management and budgeting processes, ensuring optimal allocation of IT resources and adherence to financial controls. Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership and stakeholders, presenting regular reports on project status, risks, and mitigation plans. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by conducting post-project evaluations and identifying opportunities for new tools or technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in IT project management
- 3-5 years in a leadership role within a PMO
- Extensive experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Proven track record in managing complex IT projects, from inception to delivery, across multiple functional teams
- Experience with portfolio and resource management, financial budgeting, and risk management
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and digital transformation initiatives
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and interact with stakeholders at all levels, including executives and cross-functional teams
- In-depth knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, or similar)
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture while managing day-to-day project tasks
- Results-oriented with a strong focus on delivering value to the business
- Adaptable and resilient, able to navigate changing priorities and business needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential or sensitive information
