Job Summary
IT Operations Specialist responsible for 24x7 data centre operations, ensuring IT infrastructure and business applications remain operational, secure, and available. Core duties include monitoring server and application health, performing Level 1 troubleshooting for hardware/OS/application incidents, running and monitoring batch and backup jobs, and supporting production job processing to meet schedules. Requires strong troubleshooting abilities across hardware, operating systems, and applications, knowledge of data centre and critical services management, familiarity with IT security and workplace safety practices, and effective communication as part of a collaborative team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in IT operations and data centre management
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Understanding of IT security, fire safety, and workplace safety practices
- Ability to monitor server and application health and manage batch/production jobs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team player with proactive attitude
