IT Operations Manager

Job Summary

Own Zipliens' internal IT and security operations by managing SaaS inventories, device assets, and employee access while executing the Fractional CISO's security strategy. Serve as the primary point of contact for security concerns, leading incident response with engagement within 15 minutes for severe escalations and maintaining data retention schedules. Drive adoption of approved AI tools for internal process improvement and act as the main liaison with managed IT providers to oversee tickets, renewals, and vendor compliance. Provide hands-on technical support alongside vendor oversight and ensure consistent policy adherence across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of IT and security, reporting to the CTO to protect client relationships and company data.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in IT operations, IT management, or systems administration
  • Meaningful time actually owning decisions
  • Genuine hands-on technical experience
  • Direct experience responding to a real security incident
  • Enough grounding in security and compliance to personally execute it
  • Familiarity with frameworks like SOC 2 or NIST CSF
  • Experience in a regulated or client-data-sensitive industry
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of new processes or tools across a company
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management fundamentals
  • Experience managing or coordinating with outsourced/third-party vendors
  • Genuine, hands-on comfort with AI tools
  • Initiative to apply AI tools toward improving internal processes
  • Strong documentation habits
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site at least three days per week (60%) in our Franklin, TN office
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored visa support now or in the future
