Job Summary
Respond to basic user inquiries via phone, email, and work order system. Assist with installation, configuration, and usability of computers, software, printers, and other devices under supervision. Support users with printing issues, including connecting and troubleshooting laser printers, copiers, and label printers. Help with network cabling tasks such as running, labeling, or terminating cables (with guidance). Perform simple hands-on fixes such as installing updates, replacing peripherals, and setting up new workstations. Troubleshoot routine hardware and software issues in person or remotely, escalating to IT Support Technicians as needed. Update and maintain documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles. Assist with inventory tracking, equipment organization, and general IT operational tasks. Support IT team members with project-related work and process improvements. This Summer 2027 internship runs June 1 through September 3, 2027, with flexibility to adjust dates based on availability. Dee Zee has been manufacturing components and accessories in Central Iowa since 1977.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related program
- Basic understanding of user profiles and how they affect login behavior
- Foundational knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and general networking concepts
- Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions, document steps, and stay organized
- Willingness to learn in a manufacturing technology environment

- Prior technical support experience
