IT Operations Engineer

Job Summary
Provide Level II technical support for IT and OT systems, diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues across manufacturing sites. Conduct user training on applications and tools, administer user accounts and security configurations, and maintain accurate asset documentation. Log incidents using a ticketing system to meet SLAs and collaborate with vendors to evaluate solutions and optimize infrastructure. Manage OT Edge connectivity, SCADA systems, and industrial protocols while adhering to compliance requirements. This fully on-site role in Calgary requires a degree or two years of experience, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel up to 25% and work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or 2+ years of experience in providing IT support
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%
- Must be willing to work Overtime as needed
- Strong knowledge of IT and OT systems, hardware, software, and networking concepts
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in IT and OT environments
- Experience with system administration tasks, such as user management, software updates, and edge device administration
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, maintenance, and cybersecurity principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Outlook, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in OT support within a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with IT/OT integration and data exchange protocols (e.g., OPC, MQTT, RESTful APIs), industrial automation, and control systems
- Knowledge of computer hardware, including legacy PC hardware and operating systems
