Job Summary
IT Support Officer providing first-line and second-line technical support to users; ensures smooth operation of IT systems, hardware, software, and network infrastructure; tasks include installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices; setting up user accounts and permissions; monitoring LANs, internet connectivity, and basic servers; performing routine checks, updates, backups, and antivirus/security patches; assisting with IT security policies, data protection, audits, vendor coordination, IT projects, and user training.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
- Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic networking
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- Good time management and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are an advantage
